This iPhone application provides access to the Weather Station located at https://www.carlowweather.com, offering comprehensive weather data alongside webcam images.

The station is equipped with a Davis Pro 2 Plus Wireless sensor suite, including 24-hour FARS, soil temperature, and moisture sensors. Data acquisition occurs every 30 seconds, with real-time updates on the website every 60 seconds. The data collection and site management are facilitated through Weather Display Software. The station's sensors include an anemometer, rain gauge, and thermo-hydro sensor, all strategically positioned to maximize measurement accuracy.

Situated in southeastern Ireland, approximately 40 km from the Irish Sea, Tullow experiences a mild maritime climate. Precipitation is frequent throughout the year, often in light falls, totaling around 800mm annually. Winter temperatures typically range from 6°C to 10°C during the day, with overnight lows just above freezing. The rural setting results in several frosty nights per year, with temperatures rarely falling below -10°C. Summers are generally mild, with daytime highs of 15°C to 25°C and nighttime lows between 6°C and 13°C. On occasion, summer days may approach 30°C. Snowfall is infrequent and tends to melt quickly when it occurs. Hail and thunderstorms are relatively uncommon but can happen at any time of year.
